The Process
Please call or visit our store to book a private custom design consultation with Pepe (we do not charge for the consultation or the design process).  We recommend that you bring along photos and ideas to the consultation, so that he can get an understanding of you what you are looking for.  With Pepe’s help, you will be able to create your own unique piece!

Recycling existing pieces?
Vernissage Inc. does not purchase or credit customers for existing jewellery.  However, if a customer would like incorporate their existing pieces for use in the production of a new custom order, please mention this at the time of booking your consultation.  Such recycling is only offered for existing gold pieces (not silver or platinum).
If your existing gold is all the same colour, whatever the karat, it can be melted, weighed directly in front of you and placed immediately in your order envelope.  Use of old gold will somewhat reduce the total cost of your order, making a very special item of fine jewellery more affordable.  The newly designed, finished piece will be trade mark.  However, if it is a mixture of karats and its precise karat quality unknown, a quality mark cannot be applied.  If any customer wishes a quality mark, the melted gold must be sent for testing at a refiner's minimum charge of $150.00 Cdn.  Once its precise quality is determined, a quality mark can then be stamped.

Using your gemstones
To redesign a piece of jewellery for your diamond or other precious stone, a similar step-by-step process is involved. An appraisal detailing the specifications of your stone (particularly, gemstones of larger size) should be supplied to Vernissage Inc. if possible. If not available, we will bring it to a certified appraiser in Toronto, at the customer's expense (the charge is nominal), to be sure of the stone's size, quality and other characteristics before proceeding. Once the custom order is complete, Vernissage Inc. will provide the customer with a new, certified appraisal of the finished piece AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.
